The Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé 2012 is an exceptional cuvée, a rare and sought-after champagne, resulting from a rigorous selection of the best Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This vintage rosé reveals exceptional aromatic intensity, perfect for accompanying grand gastronomic dishes.
Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé 2012 is a prestigious vintage rosé champagne. This cuvée was imagined in 1987 by Bernard de Nonancourt, the founder of the House, for the occasion of his eldest daughter Alexandra's wedding.
The Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé 2012 is crafted from an exceptional blend of Pinot Noir (80%) and Chardonnay (20%). The grapes come exclusively from carefully selected Grand Crus. The Pinot Noirs are from the Montagne de Reims, notably the prestigious crus of Ambonnay, Bouzy, Mailly, and Verzenay. The Chardonnay comes from the Côte des Blancs, from the renowned terroirs of Avize, Cramant, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé is produced only in years when the Grand Crus of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay reach perfect maturity at the same time. Thus, only 7 vintages have been released since its launch. The year 2012 was marked by difficult climatic conditions, with winter frosts, cryptogamic diseases, and hailstorms. However, the dry and sunny summer that followed allowed exceptional ripening of the grapes. The harvest thus produced fruits of perfect quality and maturity, a key element in the making of this cuvée. The 2012 vintage gave birth to an intense and complex cuvée, aged for 10 years in the cellars of Laurent-Perrier to reach its full potential.
The creation of this cuvée follows a precise set of specifications with a maceration of the Pinot Noirs (80%), during which 20% of Chardonnay is added. This is how this Rosé de Saignée offers fruity, pure, and exalted aromas.
The Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé 2012 reveals a deep orange-blood color, enhanced by bubbles of remarkable finesse and persistence.
Its nose is complex, dominated by notes of red fruits such as wild strawberries and redcurrant jam. A touch of candied citrus is also present.
On the palate, this cuvée reveals a singular richness and warmth, with intense aromas of red fruits. The finish is marked by a note of bitter orange. A rare complexity, where the senses never lose the thread of an unprecedented pleasure.
The price of the bottle of Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé 2012 champagne is 429,95 €. This price reflects the exceptional character and rarity of this vintage. The rigorous selection of Grand Crus and the extended aging in the cellar explain its high price. It is a collector's cuvée for lovers of rare champagnes, offering excellent value for money for a wine of this caliber.
