Maison Lanson chooses to vintage only those years considered exceptional, which have the ability to stand the test of time while retaining incredible freshness. Vintage 2009 pleases with its fresh, aromatic style.

This cuvée is a blend of Pinot Noir (52%) and Chardonnay (48%) from the best Premiers and Grands Crus of the Champagne region, including Aÿ, Bouzy, Verzenay, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Trépail.

2009 was a year of contrasts, with a harsh winter followed by a stormy spring. Fortunately, five weeks of hot, dry weather just before the harvest ensured exceptional health. The vintage is very fruity, with moderate acidity.

This champagne is straw-yellow in color, with a persistent string of fine bubbles.

The nose reveals an intense, gourmet bouquet with notes of pear, apricot, candied fruit, honey, acacia flowers and lime blossom.

Maison Lanson Vintage 2009 has a dense attack and rich, complex flavors. The palate offers lovely fruity notes of pear and quince, supported by accents of citron and a very well-balanced, persistent finish.
