Cuvée Les Beaudiers from Laherte Frères is a rosé de saignée with intense, powerful aromas. This champagne is produced in very limited quantities, less than 4,000 bottles a year.
The saignée technique involves leaving the grapes to macerate for several hours, to obtain a deep color and highly expressive aromas.
This cuvée owes its name to the locality of Les Beaudiers, halfway up the Chavot hillside, where the old vines used to make this champagne are located. These are plots of Pinot Meunier, planted in 1953, 1958 and 1965.
Laherte's Les Beaudiers cuvée is vinified in barrels, then aged on fine lees for 6 months.
Malolactic fermentation is omitted to preserve maximum freshness.
This is an Extra Brut cuvée, with a particularly low dosage (less than 4g/l).
