This 24th edition of the Krug Rosé cuvée is structured around the 2012 harvest, a fine year with low yields but high concentration.
Reserve wines make up 71% of the blend for this Edition de Krug Rosé, and wines from the 2012 harvest round it out.
This is a rosé d'assemblage, meaning that this champagne rosé is obtained by adding red Champagne wine. The blend is completed by 13% red wine from Pinot Noirs planted on the Mareuil-sur-Aÿ terroir. The blend is balanced between 29% Pinot Noir, 26% Pinot Meunier and 45% Chardonnay.
Like the rest of our bottles, this 24th edition has spent around 7 years in our cellars before being released for tasting.
This champagne has a subtle pale pink color, synonymous with elegance.
The nose reveals aromas of rosehip, smoked ham, blackberry, redcurrant, peony, pepper and pink grapefruit.
On the palate, delicate notes of honey, citrus and dried fruit underpin a persistent finish that is enhanced by fine bubbles.
This 24th edition of Krug Rosé is the perfect accompaniment to savory dishes such as foie gras, lamb, white meat, venison and even spicy dishes.
