      Description

Joseph Perrier's Côte à Bras 2012 is an atypical Champagne cuvée. It's a cuvée of a single grape variety, a single plot and a single year. It is made from Pinot Noir grapes from the La Côte à Bras plot in Cumières.

2012 was one of the most difficult and delicate years Champagne has ever experienced. But low yields and a fine late summer enabled us to obtain grapes with a rare level of ripeness. This ripeness produced rich, full-bodied, structured wines.

The grapes are pressed and vinified separately, before aging for a minimum of 6 years in the Maison's cellars in Châlons-en-Champagne.

This Blanc de Noirs champagne has a deep golden-yellow color.

The bouquet is composed of exhilarating, gourmet aromas of bergamot, candied orange and fruit in syrup.

On the palate, the attack is fresh and chiselled. The Pinot Noir expresses itself fully through aromas of heather honey, and its intense fruity notes coat the palate. The finish is mineral and iodized.

The Côte à Bras 2012 will be perfect as an aperitif with great personality, but could also be served with a butterfly of langoustine and its chiffonnade of mesclun or a roasted blue lobster, lightly peppered, grapefruit coulis and beurre blanc.

"Back in 2007, my father had the original idea of working this plot in an exceptional way: one plot, one grape variety, one year, one wine. This cuvée is the expression of Cumières Pinot Noir, fresh and salty. Benjamin Fourmon, Managing Director, 6th generation.
