The Cuvée Tradition from the house of Janisson & Fils is a traditional blend of the 3 classic Champagne grape varieties with 70 % Pinots (Noir and Meunier) and 30 % Chardonnay, to which 15 % of the previous year’s blend is added.
This use of reserve wines maintains the regular personality of the wines from this champagne house.
This cuvee undergoes malolactic fermentation to add smoothness and aromas, and it is then matured in the cellar for 24 months.
It is a vigorous and fruity wine which reflects the terroir from which it springs.
Tasting
By Patrick BorrasThe Cuvée Tradition from Janisson & Fils is golden pale yellow in aspect with brilliant yellow tints. Its effervescence is fine, delicate and regular with good intensity.
The nose is fruity and very agreeable with nutty aromas of walnuts and hazelnuts and hints of brioche.
The attack is frank, balanced between vinosity and the persistent freshness of citrus notes.
The Cuvée Tradition is a champagne with character, fresh and subtle, which can be enjoyed as an aperitif or during a cocktail dinner, served at a temperature of between 8° and 9°C.
