Description

Grand Cru Rosé from the house of Janisson & Fils is a blended champagne made from Grand Cru grapes - 75 % Pinot Noir and 25 % Chardonnay to which 10% of red Pinot Noir wine is added.

Grand Cru is the highest quality of all the Champagne Crus, and only 17 villages out of the 320 in the appellation fall into this category.

This Grand Cru Rosé is vinified traditionally, with a malolactic fermentation for extra smoothness of aromas.

Tasting

By Patrick Borras

Robe

Janisson & Fils Grand Cru Rosé is a brilliant salmon pink with orange glints of great limpidity animated by fine, discreet bubbles.

Nose

The nose is rich and complex with aromas of red fruits and spice, jellied fruits and Turkish delight all carried by the freshness of its mineral notes.

Palate

Janisson Fils Grand Cru Rosé is round and supple, with its opulent attack and intense vinosity denoting that this is a champagne of character.

Service

The finesse of its fruit and spicy notes make it the perfect accompaniment for fish dishes. Best served at a temperature of between 9° and 10°C.
