Jacquesson's Cuvée 737 Dégorgement Tardif is a new interpretation of this cuvée.
In contrast to the non-vintage Brut produced by most champagne houses, whose aim is to have a taste and style of the most perfect regularity, the concept behind Cuvée 700 is to reflect the character of the main year of the blend.
Cuvée 737 is based on the 2009 harvest. It was a year marked by a cold, dry winter, followed by a mild but rainy spring. Summer was dry and hot, and the after-season was magnificent. The grapes were superb, with excellent ripeness.
The blend is based on 43% Chardonnay, 27% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier.
All cuvées 700 are made from grapes from 3 Grands Crus and 2 Premiers Crus, and only the first press juices, vinified in foudres, are used.
Cuvée 737 Dégorgement Tardif Jacquesson was aged for 7 years on lees, before being disgorged in October 2017. 14,640 bottles and 660 magnums were produced.
