Tasting
By Patrick BorrasJacques Chaput's Grande Réserve has a lovely, deep golden hue. Its bubbles are fine and discreet, of medium intensity.
Grande Réserve Jacques Chaput reveals a complex, rich nose, with brioche and slightly buttery aromas. Dried fruit aromas also appear on the second nose.
On the palate, the attack is rich and unctuous, powerful and intense. The champagne is fresh, with a touch of acidity, and well-balanced. This cuvée will appeal to lovers of rich, unctuous champagne.
I recommend that you enjoy Grande Réserve Jacques Chaput as an aperitif or with a meal, especially with a creamy white meat. I suggest serving this cuvée at 10°C.
