Made from a blend of Chardonnay grapes harvested in 2010, Cuvée Dame Blanche embodies the savoir-faire of Maison Chaput. The grapes come from Kimmeridgian clay-limestone terroirs located around Arrentières in the Côte des Bar region. This particular soil gives the wine a great minerality, underlined by a precise dosage of 5.5 g/L based on MCR (rectified concentrated must), thus preserving the purity of the fruit.
The fruit of 13 years' ageing on laths, this cuvée stands out for its complexity, its freshness preserved by slow maturation, and its accomplished aromatic expression. It's a refined, generous champagne, perfect for special occasions.
2010 in Champagne was marked by a cool, wet start to the year, followed by a milder summer. These conditions enabled the Chardonnays to ripen beautifully, particularly on the limestone terroirs, producing well-balanced, taut wines that are destined to age well. La Dame Blanche is a superb example.
Cuvée Dame Blanche is a limpid light yellow with green highlights. The effervescence is fine and delicate.
An expressive nose combining brioche notes, hints of almond and fresh citrus. On aeration, the bubbles burst, releasing rich aromas.
The mouth seduces with its creamy texture and great freshness. The whole is balanced and persistent, with an elegant, thirst-quenching finish.
The price of a bottle of Dame Blanche Jacques Chaput is 35,95 €. A Blanc de Blancs de longue garde with remarkable balance, ideal for special occasions.
Blanc de Blancs connoisseurs hail the elegance and precision of this cuvée. Its long ageing gives it a rare complexity and a much-appreciated creamy texture. Read the reviews of cuvée Dame Blanche.

Tasting
By Patrick BorrasBlanc de Blancs from Jacques Chaput is pale yellow in color, with bright yellow highlights. Its bubbles are intense, beautiful and delicate.
This champagne has a very pleasant, fresh nose, with aromas typical of well-worked Chardonnay. There are brioche notes punctuated by more mineral ones. A very subtle nose.
On the palate, the attack is fresh and mineral, with a lovely roundness brought out by slightly buttery notes, and near-perfect balance.
It's a pleasant aperitif champagne, with remarkable freshness. I recommend serving Blanc de Blancs Jacques Chaput at a temperature of 9°C.
