Jean-Marc Sélèque's Cuvée Comédie 2009 is a terroir-driven champagne made from the estate's finest plots.
Created in 1995 as a tribute to Henri Sélèque, the founder of the house, this cuvée symbolizes its philosophy.
Comédie 2009 is a blend of 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir, from 50-year-old vines. Half is vinified in oak barrels, the other half in stainless steel tanks.
This champagne benefits from malolactic fermentation, to round out its aromas. It is dosed as Extra Brut (4g/L) to retain plenty of freshness.
The 2009 vintage offers a beautiful range of aromas brought out by Jean-Marc Sélèque's vinification. A dense, complex cuvée.
Sélèque produced 3,500 bottles of its cuvée Comédie 2009.
