The Domaine Hugues Godmé is located in Verzenay, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims. Hugues, his wife Dominique, and their daughter Lucille own 40 plots spread across the villages of Verzenay, Verzy, Villers-Marmery, and Ville-Dommange, where they cultivate the three main grape varieties of Champagne: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Committed to respecting the terroir, nature, and people, the Domaine Hugues Godmé has been practicing organic and biodynamic viticulture since 2006.
The Hugues Godmé cuvées are characterful wines that express all the subtlety and strength of the terroir. The Blanc de Blancs combines the minerality of the terroirs of Villers-Marmery and Ville-Dommange with beautiful fruity and crisp notes. The Blanc de Noirs reveals a remarkable balance between the freshness of the chalky soils of the northern Montagne de Reims in the terroirs of Verzy and Verzenay, and the fruity and refined notes of the Pinot Noir. Finally, La Réserve is a champagne made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier from the plots of Verzenay, Verzy, Ville-Dommange, and Villers-Marmery. A champagne that reflects all the minerality and tension characteristic of this slope.
