      Description

The Vintage 2014 Henriot is a balanced and refined cuvée that perfectly captures the essence of a singular year and the elegance of the Champagne terroirs. It is an ideal champagne to accompany an aperitif dinner or even an entire meal.

The Making of Vintage 2014 Henriot Champagne

The Vintage 2014 cuvée is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, selected from the best terroirs of Champagne. The grapes come from six Premier and Grand Crus, including Trépail, Mailly-Champagne, Verzenay, and Avenay in the Montagne de Reims, as well as Chouilly and Avize in the Côte des Blancs. Each cru brings a unique dimension to this exceptional cuvée.

The Chardonnay provides remarkable freshness and minerality, while the Pinot Noir brings a complex structure and a rich aromatic palette. This cuvée benefited from a minimum aging of 8 years in the chalk cellars, offering optimal maturity and perfectly integrated aromas. The dosage, reduced to 5 g/L, highlights the purity of the wine without masking its personality.

      The 2014 Vintage

The year 2014 was marked by contrasting climatic conditions. After a mild winter and a rainy spring, the summer alternated between cool and warm temperatures. These conditions allowed for grapes of great maturity and perfectly balanced acidity, giving birth to complex and expressive wines. The Vintage 2014 thus reflects all the richness and diversity of the Champagne terroirs.

      Tasting the Cuvée

      • Color

The color is a brilliant gold with amber reflections and a fine, persistent effervescence.

      • Nose

The nose offers a complex bouquet of yellow fruits, roasted almonds, and subtle woody notes, revealing great aromatic depth.

      • Palate

On the palate, the cuvée is full-bodied and indulgent, with flavors of apricot, dried fruits, and a hint of grapefruit in the finish. The balance between sugar and acidity is perfectly mastered, offering a creamy texture and beautiful length.
