Description

Francis Boulard's Rosé de Saignée 2012 is a generous, gourmet champagne. It's a cuvée that's perfect as an aperitif or with poultry or noble fish dishes.

Made from a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Meunier from old vines (40 years old), Francis Boulard Rosé de Saignée 2012 is obtained by maceration of the berries for 10 to 12 hours. A relatively rare technique in Champagne, it produces fruitier, more intense wines. It also produces more harmonious wines.

This cuvée is vinified in small oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation takes place. A few months later, the wines are bottled and brought down into the coolness of the house cellars. The dosage is Extra Brut (3g/l).

Francis Boulard et Fille Rosé de Saignée 2012 has a pink color with salmon highlights, dotted with fine bubbles.

The nose reveals notes of red fruits and sweet spices.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, rich and generous, with a creamy texture. The fruity and spicy notes discovered on the nose are repeated.

A magnificent Champagne, buoyed by a remarkable 2012 vintage.
