Cuvée Notes Blanches 2014 from Maison Fleury is made exclusively from Pinot Blanc, an original and forgotten grape variety in Champagne. This wine is complex on the palate, thanks to its aromatic richness.
Maison Fleury, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Champagne, began its conversion to more ecological viticulture in 1970. Today, the estate is certified Agriculture Biologique (AB) and Demeter, and has been awarded the Biodyvin label for its entire 15-hectare estate.
This cuvée is vinified in vats, matured in oak barrels and not dosed, to express all the particularities of this grape variety and give the wine freshness and intensity. Malolactic fermentation is used to add roundness to the wine.
This Notes Blanches 2014 champagne has a pale gold color and its atypical grape variety gives it very expressive aromas of white flowers and exotic fruits. It's a generous, rich wine, revealing buttery notes on the palate that will go perfectly with Saint-Jacques and gambas.
