Fabrice Pouillon's 2014 Cuvée Les Châtaigniers is a champagne with a superb fruity bouquet that will go equally well with aperitifs and cold starters.
This cuvée owes its name to the plot on which the Pinot Meunier used to make it is planted. It's a parcel located in Festigny, in the Vallée du Flagot, itself located in the Vallée de la Marne. It's a parcel on clay soil, giving fruity, ripe grapes.
Les Châtaigniers 2014 was vinified in oak barrels. Fabrice Pouillon chose to mix new barrels with barrels that had already produced several wines.
This cuvée has been corked to develop the wine's aromatic palette. The dosage is Extra Brut.
