Dom Pérignon's Vintage Rosé 2008 is a bold cuvée offering an infinite palette of aromas.
The 2008 vintage, already mythical in Champagne, is sublimated here by the house's savoir-faire. Although the 2008 vintage is one of the greatest of recent years, it got off to a rather poor start, with wet, grey weather. But a magnificent September produced grapes with an absolutely perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.
After more than 14 years in the Dom Pérignon cellars, the 2008 Vintage Rosé is a streamlined, slender champagne, with bright fruit aromas, a floral touch and spices on the finish, giving it an absolutely unique personality.
Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 2008 has a nose that immediately reveals notes of raspberry and wild strawberry, quickly followed by lingering powdery notes of iris and violet. Vegetal notes of privet, angelica and camphor follow.
On the palate, the wine opens with a frank attack, the signature of 2008, then mid-palate, the wine becomes full-bodied and silky, the aromas blossom, softened by a sweet, floral and peppery finish.
An elegant champagne with a silky structure and surprising salinity. A cuvée that's a perfect match for fine red meat or grilled octopus.
