First, there is the first plenitude, which is revealed after a minimum of seven years of aging on lees or more depending on the vintage. The second plenitude, P2, is the time of energy: after a minimum of twelve years of aging on lees, the intensity of the wine is magnified. The third plenitude comes after at least 20 years of aging, it is that of complexity and depth.

The 2006 vintage of Dom Pérignon is a faithful reflection of the Champagne climate of that year. The maturation cycle was influenced by a contrasting season: a scorching July followed by a cool and humid August. However, it was September that was decisive for this vintage, offering almost summer-like conditions. The grapes benefited from exceptional maturation, and the harvest, which began on September 11, extended over three weeks to allow for a meticulous selection of the best grapes.
