The Fleur de Passion 2014 vintage is a tribute to the exceptional terroir of Cramant, located on the prestigious Côte des Blancs. This Grand Cru terroir has a soil where chalk is exposed. A thin layer of earth covers the chalk, making it a perfect environment for Chardonnay. Old vines, about 60 years old, are used in the making of this vintage. The east-southeast exposure of the 8 selected parcels enhances the ripening of the grapes.

The year 2014 was marked by contrasting climatology: a mild winter and early flowering, followed by a rather cool and rainy summer. This alternation of climatic conditions allowed for grapes with great freshness, with an excellent balance between maturity and acidity.
