There's a half-bottle of d'Amour de Deutz 2008, a half-bottle of William Deutz 2006 and a half-bottle of d'Amour de Deutz Rosé 2008. It's the ideal box for discovering the subtleties of the Champagne terroir.
Cuvée Amour de Deutz 2008 is a champagne with the makings of a gourmet wine. With its incomparable finesse, it will magnify dishes in their purest form, such as caviar, sushi, lobster or Kobe beef.
Made exclusively from Chardonnays, this Blanc de Blancs brings together the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus of Avize (57%), Mesnil-sur-Oger (38%) and Villers-Marmery (around 5%).
The 2008 vintage is one of the finest in Champagne in recent years. A mild, rainy winter was followed by a mild spring and, above all, a beautiful month of September, producing superb grapes at harvest time. The Chardonnays are lively and fine, with a lovely freshness that augurs well for their ageing potential.
The sparkling yellow-gold color is pierced by a delicate sparkle.
The racy nose offers delicate aromas of white flowers, with hints of yellow-fleshed fruit (nectarine, mirabelle plum).
The palate is a harmonious balance of freshness and finesse. Floral, fruity and mineral fragrances lend great complexity to this nectar.
Cuvée William Deutz 2006 is a stylish champagne that goes perfectly with the finest dishes, such as caviar, char-chevalier or pan-fried foie gras.
Made from Pinot Noir (66%), Chardonnay (29%) and Pinot Meunier (5%), it brings together the finest Grands Crus and Premiers Crus of Champagne, including Aÿ, Avize, Bouzy, Vertus and Villers-Marmery.
The wine's bronze-tinted color is enhanced by golden reflections and fine sparkling strands.
The nose is highly complex, offering an incredible palette of aromas. Notes are at once floral (hawthorn), fruity (mirabelle plum, cherries) and spicy (licorice).
The palate is rich in yellow-fleshed fruit. Its generosity is underpinned by a beautiful minerality, all united in perfect harmony.
The long finish augurs great ageing potential.
Cuvée Amour de Deutz Rosé 2008 is a brut champagne made from Pinot Noir (64%) and Chardonnay (36%). This rosé blend has been completed by a grand vin of PInot Noir (9%) from old vines in Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
The 2008 vintage is one of the finest in Champagne in recent years.
Its delicate pink-gold color is enlivened by a lively effervescence.
The nose is dominated by red fruit aromas. Raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant combine to deliver a sumptuous perfume with vanilla notes.
The palate is reminiscent of the gourmet fragrances found on the nose. The balance is perfect between power and delicacy.
