The 2016 Brut Rosé from Maison Deutz is a champagne that offers beautiful notes of ripe red fruit and a lovely mineral freshness. This cuvée can be enjoyed as an aperitif or at the table with spicy dishes such as red mullet or pigeon with cranberries, or even citrus desserts.
This cuvée is made from a blend of 85% Pinot Noir from the terroirs of Aÿ, Bouzy, Ludes, Mareuil, Cumières, Avenay-Val-d'Or and Tauxières, and 15% Chardonnay from the terroirs of Avize, Vertus and Bergères-lès-Vertus.
This blend is completed by 7% red wine made by Deutz, from Pinot Noir from 2 parcels of old vines in Aÿ, "Pierre Robert" and "La Pelle", and from a parcel in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ: "Les Cumaines".
This cuvée has a rose-gold color with coppery highlights and a fine, sustained effervescence.
On the nose, it's the Brut Rosé 2016 of delicate Deutz champagne, with fine, elegant aromas of red fruits and violets.
The palate is enveloping and persistent. It is in perfect harmony with the aromas already present on the nose. The finish of this Deutz Brut Rosé 2016 cuvée is very mineral and long-lasting.
