L'Amour de Deutz Rosé 2009 from Deutz is an exceptional champagne, equally at home as an aperitif or with delicate fish dishes.
It's a blend of 57% Pinot Noir from the terroirs of Aÿ, Verzenay, Ambonnay and Bouzy, and 43% Chardonnay from Avize, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly and Villers-Marmery. To this blend is added 6% of red wine made by Deutz from two parcels of old Pinots Noirs vines located in Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
The 2009 vintage is flattering, expressive and generous. L'Amour de Deutz Rosé 2009 beautifully reflects this year.
It's a champagne with a coppery hue. Fine, dancing bubbles.
The nose is charmingly fresh, with hints of red fruits and sweet spices.
On the palate, the wine is gourmet. The champagne has a fresh, full attack, then gives way to notes of strawberry, redcurrant and blackcurrant. The palate is well balanced between power and vivacity. The finish is remarkable.
L'Amour de Deutz Rosé 2009 goes perfectly with red mullet, Saint Pierre, grilled lobster or beef carpaccio.
