Cuvée Brut Rosé 2010 from Maison Deutz is a dazzling, refined champagne that's equally at home as an aperitif, red meat or dessert.
Made from Pinot Noir (78%) and Chardonnay (22%), this blended rosé has been complemented by a red wine (9%) from old vines on the Côte d'Aÿ.
2010 saw a particularly cold winter and a cool, dry spring. A very dry July preceded a more classic August. All these climatic conditions gave the champagnes their concentrated, expressive character.
The pink-gold color is bright and luminous.
The nose is very fruity. Aromas of red berries and fresh black fruit dominate, with an elegant greediness.
The palate is precise and controlled. Ripe fruit fragrances are followed by sweet floral notes of rose petals. The finish is long and generous.
