Description
Delamotte's Blanc de Blancs is a masterful interpretation of the finest terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. The Chardonnay grapes come from the Grand Cru-classified vineyards of Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize and Cramant.
The minerality of this Blanc de Blancs comes from the chalky soil on which the vines grew.
The nose is fine, floral and mineral.
On the palate, the attack is elegant and lively, with a lovely airy touch. Floral aromas are present, along with a pleasant hint of saltiness.
This Blanc de Blancs spent 4-5 years in the Delamotte cellars before being offered for sale, allowing the wine to round out its aromas.
It's the perfect wine for a summer aperitif, or to accompany oysters or grilled fish.
