Les Rieux 2012 from Maison Dehours is a white wine from Champagne, also known as Coteau Champenois.
This white wine is made from grapes harvested at the end of the harvest to ensure optimal ripeness for still wine production.
It's a wine made from Chardonnay grapes planted on a parcel called Les Rieux, located in the heart of the terroir.
Jérôme Dehours' 2012 Coteau Blanc Les Rieux was aged for 18 months on lees in 200- and 300-liter barrels.
The wine has a deep golden yellow color with brilliant highlights.
The nose is greedy and round, awakened by a beautiful minerality and a touch of iodine.
On the second nose, woody notes evolve into aromas of toast, coffee and butterscotch.
On the palate, Les Rieux 2012 offers a pure, saline, mineral texture.
