Jérôme Dehours' Cuvée Brisefer 2009 is a generous, expressive Blanc de Blancs. It's a champagne made from Chardonnays planted on the Brisefer plot in Mareuil-le-Port, in the Marne Valley. Jérôme Dehours' grandfather already used this plot to make his prestige cuvée.
This Chardonnay vineyard, planted at the foot of the slope, dates back partly to 1947, and partly to 1966 and 1992. These old vines produce concentrated, highly aromatic wines.
Brisefer 2009 was vinified and aged on complete lees in 200-, 300- and 500-liter oak barrels. This is an Extra Brut champagne, with a dosage of 2g/l.
