This cuvée is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, grown on the historic plot "Le Bout du Clos," planted by René Coutier in 1969 and 1970. The exceptional terroir of the Grand Cru d'Ambonnay, dominated by chalky soils, gives this cuvée a unique minerality. Aging in ceramic amphorae for one year and the absence of malolactic fermentation preserve a remarkable purity and freshness. Bottled in October 2018, this Extra-Brut champagne, with a minimal dosage of 1.5 g/l, expresses the very essence of its vintage.
The year 2017 in Champagne, although complex, offered grapes of beautiful maturity and great aromatic concentration. In Ambonnay, the climatic conditions allowed the Pinot Noir to express all its richness and finesse, giving birth to a cuvée of great precision.
The Le Bout du Clos 2017 cuvée has a luminous and golden robe, punctuated by amber reflections.
Its nose is expressive, blending aromas of juicy red fruits and subtle notes of minerality.
