Charles Heidsieck's Blanc des Millénaires 2006 offers a unique vision of the great Chardonnays of the Côte de Blancs. Only five vintages have ever been produced under this name: 1983, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2004. The 2006 vintage is therefore the 6th in a prestigious and demanding line.

For this Blanc des Millénaires, 5 of the finest crus of the Côte des Blancs were selected for their ability to evolve, but also to express all their richness when aged in the cellar: Oger for its smoothness and structure, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger for its balance, Avize for its minerality, Cramant for its complexity and Vertus for its freshness and floral notes.

Blanc des Millénaires 2006 has a golden color with green highlights. Its bubbles are fine and lively.

The nose offers floral notes and a touch of citrus. The second nose reveals fresh fruit aromas. Delicate notes of blond tobacco and eucalyptus crown this pretty nose.

On the palate, Blanc des Millénaires 2006 opens with a saline, chalky, fresh attack. Fruity notes return on the mid-palate. The finish is full and saline.

Charles Heidsieck's Blanc des Millénaires 2006 is a perfect match for Pancetta, langoustine tartar with passion fruit, Saint Nectaire or Morbier cheese.
