      Charles Heidsieck's Millésime 2005 is a gourmet, precise champagne, with aromas of praline, hazelnut and dried fruit.

      The blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay highlights the excellent qualities of the 2005 vintage.

      The 2005 vintage offered the Champagne region excellent weather conditions, with a cool, dry winter, an early heatwave in June, light rainfall during the summer and a fine Indian summer in September, providing ideal harvest conditions.

      Vintage 2005 Charles Heidsieck is a golden-hued champagne with coppery highlights and intense colors.

      The nose is warm, powerful and complex. This cuvée exalts notes of very ripe, slightly stewed white fruit, honey and acacia. A lovely aromatic freshness emerges. On the second nose, aromas of praline and toasted hazelnuts emerge.

      On the palate, Millésime 2005 is greedy and round, with a fresh attack on the palate. The champagne is smooth and unctuous, with generous aromas. There are hints of dried apricot, date and fig. We find the expression of the rich, sunny 2005 vintage. The presence of more mineral, saltier aromas gives it a fine balance.

      The finish is long, with a hint of spice.

      This is a fine aperitif champagne that can also accompany a meal, thanks to its slightly vinous character.
