Le Clos Cazals - La Chapelle du Clos 2011 | Bottle 75cl
La Chapelle du Clos is a cuvée focused on freshness and intensity. Like its big sister Le Clos Cazals, La Chapelle du Clos is made from Chardonnay grapes grown on the Clos Cazals. Le Clos Cazals is made up of 3 parcels: a parcel of old vines dating from 1957, a parcel dating from 2001 and another, with a small chapel, planted in 1989. It is from the vines of this last plot that La Chapelle du Clos is made.

Oger's terroir is characterized by its chalky soil, which produces lively grapes and wines that often need a few years' ageing to soften their ardour and bring out their best.
Oger is classified as a Grand Cru, the highest level of the Champagne appellation. Only 17 villages are classified Grand Cru.
Chapelle du Clos 2011 was vinified in vats to preserve its liveliness and freshness, while a small proportion of the wine (10%) was aged in oak barrels to add a touch of complexity.
This is a light, saline and expressive Blanc de Blancs champagne. The dosage is crude, of the order of 6g/l, to underline its beautiful, gourmand aromas.
The nose is reminiscent of brioche and citrus fruit.
On the palate, the attack is both delicate and fresh. This is an elegant cuvée, with a mineral, slightly saline mouthfeel.
It differs from its big sister in that it is younger (in terms of vines, vintage and ageing in the cellar), and offers another vision of Clos Cazals, less complex and more airy.Chardonnay (100%)
