Clos des Maladries is a small, south-facing clos monopole on the limestone terroir of Avize, where the soil is worked solely by horse.
Production is very limited, with only 1,000 bottles produced.
Cuvée du Clos des Maladries 2014 focuses on freshness, purity and straightforwardness.
It's a light, expressive Blanc de Blancs champagne. The dosage is extra-brut, of the order of 2g/l, to underline its admirable aromas of elegance and purity.
On the palate, the attack is both delicate and fresh. This is an elegant cuvée, with a mineral mouthfeel.
Clos des Maladries 2014 is the perfect accompaniment to fish or semi-dry goat's cheese.
