The PN VZ 19 cuvée from Champagne Bollinger is a true ode to Pinot Noir. Crafted exclusively from this noble grape variety, this cuvée showcases the signature grape of the Bollinger style. It is a champagne of character, both subtle and complex, carried by the exceptional 2019 vintage.
The PN VZ 19 cuvée is made from 100% Pinot Noir, a choice that perfectly reflects Bollinger's DNA. The main cru of this edition is Verzenay, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, renowned for its Pinot Noir of great finesse. This blend also includes grapes from other iconic villages such as Aÿ, Avenay, Louvois, Mutigny, and Tauxières. The base year of this cuvée is 2019, but it also includes reserve wines, the oldest dating back to 2009, to add extra depth.
The vinification of this cuvée follows a rigorous process: Bollinger uses only the cuvée, i.e., the first pressings of the grapes, which are the most qualitative. The long aging in the cellar of this cuvée ensures exceptional complexity and finesse. The moderate dosage of 6 grams per liter preserves the purity of the aromas and the expression of the Pinot Noir.
The color of the PN VZ 19 cuvée is a luminous gold, reflecting its great elegance. The fine bubbles add to the delicacy of this cuvée.
The nose is very expressive, revealing aromas of white-fleshed fruits, red fruits, and a subtle touch of exotic fruits. Each aroma blends into an airy and delicate harmony.
On the palate, the cuvée reveals a silky texture and a range of flavors combining notes of Granny Smith apple, vine peach, and blood orange. The finish, marked by a subtle saline touch, adds even more complexity to this exceptional cuvée.
The price of a bottle of PN VZ 19 Bollinger is 108,95 €. This price reflects the quality of the grapes used, Bollinger's unique expertise in crafting Blanc de Noirs, and the extended aging in the cellar. This champagne is a choice investment for lovers of rare and high-quality cuvées.
Champagne enthusiasts praise the PN VZ 19 cuvée for its subtlety and aromatic complexity. Customers particularly appreciate its fruity aromas and saline finish, which add an extra dimension to the tasting experience. Find all customer reviews on reviews of the PN VZ 19 Bollinger cuvée.
