This cuvée from Maison Bollinger is a champagne for enthusiasts, a champagne for those in search of the different expressions of Pinot Noir in Champagne. Each year, a new cuvée is added to the PN collection, exploring the House's different terroirs in a different way. This fourth edition, PN AYC18, magnifies Pinot Noir d'Aÿ.
This champagne is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, mainly from the Grand Cru village of Aÿ-Champagne. It is associated with other Montagne de Reims villages such as Verzenay and Tauxières. PN AYC18 is built around the 2018 harvest, again combined with reserve wines to bring great aromatic depth, the oldest of which dates back to 2009. The codified name of this cuvée means PN for Pinot Noir, AYC for Aÿ-Champagne and 18 for 2018.
This champagne reveals a golden color with bronze highlights.
The nose opens with notes of honey, fruit paste, quince and candied citrus fruits, almond paste and blood orange, sweet spices and refreshing mint.
The palate is deep, subtle and rich, offering fine amplitude and a candied citrus finish that enhances the wine's freshness.
