Bollinger's 2016 Côte aux Enfants is a red wine of elegance, finesse and delicacy.
This coteau champenois red is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes from the eponymous 4-hectare parcel in Aÿ. Since 2009, this parcel, La Côte aux Enfants, has been farmed organically.
This 100% Pinot Noir is aged for 2 years in oak barrels.
La Côte aux Enfants 2016 has a lovely ruby-red color.
The nose reveals complex notes of black cherry, blueberry and a touch of delicate spices.
The palate is full-bodied and structured. The red berry notes discovered on the nose are repeated.
La Côte aux Enfants can be decanted for a few hours before drinking.
It's a wine to accompany fine red meats or poultry.
