      Description

      The Nicolas François Billecart cuvée is a tribute to the House's founder. Created in 1694, it embodies more than any other cuvée, the know-how and inimitable style of the Maison Billecart-Salmon.

      It's a champagne that unites the two most prestigious terroirs in Champagne: Côte des Blancs (for the Chardonnays) and Montagne de Reims (for the Pinots Noirs), with a selection of only Grands Crus (79%) and Premiers Crus (21%).

      This cuvée is partially vinified in oak barrels (15%) to bring a touch of depth and aromatic complexity. The bottles are aged in our cellars for 10 years.

      This champagne has a beautiful golden yellow color with luminous reflections. The crystalline, sparkling visual perception gives the effervescence a lift of finely chiselled bubbles.

      The nose is rich with notes of peach in syrup, apple tart with alpine butter, fresh fig and wild berries.

      The palate reveals all the richness and subtlety of a complex yet refreshing aromatic curve. Fine, intense notes of orchard fruit are combined with the character of stone fruit (Mirabelle de Nancy, Bigarreau cherry) and underlined by the brilliance of floral persistence (hawthorn).

      This cuvée Nicolas François Billecart 2007 will reveal the flavors of a fine roast Bresse poultry or a delicious milk-fed veal chop with chanterelles.
