The Grande Cuvée 1998 from Billecart-Salmon is an exceptional cuvee made from the very best Grand Cru parcels in the Billecart-Salmon estates. First created in 1982, it is a symbol of the excellence of this champagne house.

1998 was a superb year for champagne. The Grand Cru Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays alike showed a rare and fine balance between acidity and sweetness. Billecart-Salmon Grande Cuvée 1998 has already passed 10 years in the Billecart-Salmon cellars in order to develop its aromas and maturity, and it is a vintage which should be cellared serenely for another few years.

Resplendent in pale gold, the robe glimmers with silver highlights. Its multitude of bubbles show great vivacity.

The Grande Cuvée 1998 offers a complex nose, with aromas of ripe fruits, grilled brioche and mocha.

The attack is fine and delicate, the mouth silky but powerful with remarkable balance.

Can be served to advantage with a gastronomic menu, the Grande Cuvée 1998 is also excellent to end the evening with.
