Antoine Chevalier champagne

South of the Côte des Blancs, there is a small island still too little known of the Champagne appellation, the Coteaux Vitryats. It was here, and more precisely in Vitry-en-Perthois, that I met Antoine Chevalier. His love for his terroir and his roots struck me immediately. From the first words exchanged, he talks to me about his terroir, this chalky soil that appeared more than 20 million years ago and gives this singularity to the wine. He talks to me about the history of his region, steeped in the heart of economic exchanges, he talks to me about this vineyard attached to the diocese of Châlons-en-Champagne. He talks to me again and again with passion about his aging in oak barrels and in vats.

Antoine Chevalier tells me about 2017, his first vintage, which I am happy to offer you on Plus de Bulles, Carkonnia. A Blanc de Blancs with a rich and powerful nose and which has this roundness in the mouth so representative of these Coteaux Vitryats so dear to his heart.
