The Paradis Rosé 2008 cuvée from Alfred Gratien Champagne is a masterpiece of elegance and complexity. This exceptional rosé champagne reveals indulgent aromas and a refined texture. It is a texture that can be served as an aperitif, but also to accompany gastronomic dishes.
The Paradis Rosé 2008 cuvée derives its complexity and balance from its blend, which marries 63% Chardonnay and 37% Pinot Noir. The grapes are vinified in 228-liter small oak barrels, according to the method and style dear to the house of Alfred Gratien.
The cellar master blocks the malolactic fermentations to preserve the natural freshness of the grapes and highlights the purity of the vintage. The 2008 vintage, marked by exceptional maturity thanks to a cool and late season, offers wines of remarkable tension and great finesse. After extended aging on fine lees, the Paradis Rosé 2008 cuvée was bottled and then taken down to the house's cellars to develop its aromatic complexity.
This champagne is distinguished by a salmon-colored robe, adorned with slight coppery reflections. The effervescence is fine and persistent.
The complex and expressive nose reveals autumnal notes of candied fruits, toasted bread, and caramel. Upon aeration, aromas of candied mandarin, precious woods, and tonka bean further enrich this remarkable bouquet.
On the palate, the attack is lively and precise, supported by fresh acidity and creamy effervescence. The texture, both tight and tender, blends flavors of chalk, salinity, and slight bitterness for a long and elegant finish.
The price of the Paradis Rosé 2008 Alfred Gratien bottle is 91,95 €. This exceptional cuvée, produced in limited quantities, reflects the unique know-how of the house of Alfred Gratien.
